The amazing Chef Dan Hatch from Blue Heaven and Salute was able to join us once again at the Callahan Community Kitchen for a cooking class this October. The audience was filled with smiling faces, as he taught attendees how to make his famous shrimp and grouper cakes, which were delicious! Chef Dan also raffled off a jar of his homemade habanero jam to whoever could guess the weight of the grouper meat he was cooking with. The attendees were taught how to use every part of the fish to reduce waste, and even learned different ways to prepare a grouper for cooking. It was a huge hit, and we are grateful for Chef Dan and all that he does for SOS and the community.
