Chef Dave Fuhrman from Great Events Catering joined us at the Callahan Community Kitchen for a Thanksgiving-themed cooking class on November 15th. He covered everything from the turkey to the sidesutilizing recipes that require more prep ahead of time to free up your time on Thanksgiving Day. He demonstrated how to debone a turkey to create a delicious turkey roulade with sausage stuffing rolled inside. He then explained how to perfectly caramelize onions, passing the pan around so everyone could see and smell the aroma before he placed them on top of the mashed potato tart he created. Chef Dave also prepared a scalloped butternut squash which was a crowd, and employee, favorite.
