CSA Boxes
What Is A CSA Box?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This is a beneficial relationship between local farmers and community members where individuals pay upfront for a weekly box of produce grown on the farm. The farmer can use that upfront cost to get supplies to help grow the crops.
Urban Oasis CSA Boxes are packed with an assortment of the best seasonal local produce, including tropical fruits, fresh vegetables, leafy greens, and herbs.

Our Partnership
SOS is building upon our mission to increase healthy food access for all by partnering with local farms in the South Florida region. Worden Farm is an 85-acre family farm in Florida, USA, founded and actively run by Chris Worden, Ph.D. and Eva Worden, Ph.D., husband and wife, growing certified-organic crops, with sustainable, regenerative, climate-wise agricultural practices since 2003. Worden Farm produce is 100% USDA-certified organic, safe, affordable, nutrient-dense, delicious, and available directly to the local community in season, Fall through Spring, through a farm box program.

FAQ's:
What will be in a box?
The local organic vegetable harvests vary -- an example box might contain: a head of lettuce, a bunch of carrots, a quart of tomatoes, a bunch of kale, a quart of squash, a bunch of scallions, a quart of green beans, and a bunch of basil.
How big is a box?
The Worden CSA Box size is a half bushel, about 14 x 11 x 7 inches, and fits great in the fridge. The boxes are brimming each week with top-quality fresh local organic vegetables -- no fillers like packing peanuts or ice packs.
Can I choose what will be in my box?
Box contents are the farmer's choice and are not individually customizable. This keeps the farm sustainable and keeps the boxes affordable. Consider sharing the your box with friends and neighbors!
How do I pickup my box?
Boxes can be picked up from the SOS Callahan Community Kitchen located at 1020 United Street in Key West, Florida. Boxes can be picked up anytime between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Fridays from January 13th to April 21st. To pick up, your box you must come inside the kitchen and tell a staff member you are here for CSA box pickup. They will then check your name off our list and grab your box for you.
What happens if I can't pickup my box?
If you would like to have someone pick up on your behalf, they will use your name to pick up the box, and the farm does not need to be notified.
If your box is not picked up, it will be donated to a deserving home that week. No rain checks, replacements, or refunds for missed pick ups.
