This Thanksgiving season was overflowing with generosity, gratitude, and community spirit across our SOS locations! In the days leading up to the holiday, our teams worked hard to ensure families throughout the Keys had everything they needed for a warm and memorable Thanksgiving meal — and thanks to the incredible support of our community, we were able to make a tremendous impact.
At our Stock Island Pantry, we distributed 203 Thanksgiving bags, each packed with holiday essentials including canned goods, stuffing, gravy, and either a turkey or a $15 Publix gift card to help families celebrate around their own tables. As an alternative to the bags, we provided 77 frozen meals which were made from scratch at our Community Kitchen and included turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce, ensuring that everyone—no matter their cooking situation—had access to a comforting Thanksgiving dish.
Our Key Largo Pantry was equally full of holiday cheer, where we distributed 129 Thanksgiving bags and 85 frozen meals to local households.
The smiles, conversations, and heartfelt gratitude we shared made every moment even more meaningful. Together, these numbers represent far more than bags and meals—they reflect kindness, connection, and the strength of a community that shows up for one another.
A huge thank you to our food drive partners, including Opal Key and St. Justin’s Martyr Church, as well as to our volunteers, donors, and supporters who helped make this Thanksgiving special for so many families throughout the Keys. Your support truly makes a difference!
